A Killer Breakfast Sandwich

Instead of hitting Dunkin Donuts or McDonald’s for breakfast, try this breakfast sandwich.  For convenience, make a few and freeze individually in wax paper.  Heat the sandwich in microwave before leaving the house and eat it on the way to work if you’re pressed for time in the morning.

  • 1 toasted organic spelt English muffin
  • 1 cage-free egg cooked in nonstick spray
  • 1 slice of organic American cheese
  • 1 teaspoon of organic ketchup
  • 2 ounces of organic uncured ham.

Protein: 25 grams
Fat: 14 grams
Carbohydrate:  31 grams

Adding a piece of fruit will boost the meal’s fiber and antioxidant content.  There is evidence that ursolic acid, found in apple peels, helps with fat loss and muscle gain.
